Trailways Transport of Bicycles
Bicycles may be carried aboard a Trailways bus – only if sufficient accommodation is available in the luggage compartment, which is located underneath the vehicle.
The cost of transporting a bicycle onboard Trailways is subject to additional transport/shipping costs, regardless of the distance.
Folding bicycles, which are packed and wrapped in a suitable carrier bag/protective covering, are treated as Trailways passenger accompanied luggage, and carried free-of-charge in the luggage storage area.
The transporting of a folding bicycle, which has not been appropriately packed or wrapped (as described above), will be assessed an extra transport/shipping fee by the Trailways bus company.
Bicycles CANNOT be through-booked on trips, which involve a change of a Trailways bus enroute, as it is not possible to guarantee accommodation, via a connecting service.
