Trailways Luggage
Please note: All luggage carried aboard a Trailways bus is at owner's risk; and under limited liability!
Luggage carried aboard a Trailways bus should be clearly labeled, showing name and either a contact address or telephone number. Do not leave luggage unattended, at any time! Apart from the risk of loss or theft, unattended luggage may be deemed a security risk and disposed of accordingly.
High value items (money, credit cards, travel/identity documents, photographic/computer equipment, cell phones, iPods, etc.), should be placed in your hand-held luggage, and kept with you at all times while aboard a Trailways bus.
Whenever you exit from a Trailways Bus, for any general reason (rest-stop, change of drivers, buses, etc.), never leave high valued items onboard the bus, unattended. Keep all valuables (hand-held luggage) with you at all times!
Passengers may ship/carry one (1) medium-sized suitcase or its equivalent for travel aboard a Trailways bus, and at no additional cost. However, all luggage must be placed within the luggage compartment, which is located underneath the vehicle, classified as the “Luggage Bay.”
Passengers may also carry one small item of hand-held luggage, inside the passenger compartment of a Trailways bus, at no additional cost.
Hand-held luggage carried aboard the Trailways bus cannot be placed where it will obstruct the isle or any entrance or emergency exits. Hand-held luggage must be placed either underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead rack, located above your seat. Any additional luggage will be subject to available space.
Folding children’s strollers are carried, at no cost, aboard a Trailways bus, subject to accommodation availability, provided they are folded before being placed in the luggage compartment.
Aboard any Trailways vehicle, equipped with accessible features, mobility impaired individuals using a wheelchair, must be positioned onboard in the designated area, and in such a manner as the driver directs.
All persons with mobility (wheelchair) needs have priority for use of this designated area at all times aboard any Trailways accessibly-equipped vehicle. However, one child’s stroller may also be parked in this designated area when the area is not occupied by a wheelchair.
The Trailways bus company will transport, at the passenger’s risk and under limited liability, all passenger luggage.
